Disability Support at Coventry University

Coventry University welcomes disabled students and recognises that education is a right for all  

H&WWe currently support over 2000 students at Coventry University with a diverse range of additional support requirements such as dyslexia, autism, hearing impairment  as well as those with medical conditions such as Sickle Cell Anaemia and Multiple-Sclerosis.

The Disability Support Team are a friendly and confidential service made up of a team of Disability Advisers, Specialist Study Skills Tutors and Support Workers. We provide advice and support for our disabled students to enable them to fully access their studies and perform to the best of their academic ability.

Our team appreciate that each individual student is the best source of expertise about themselves and their needs.

The Disability Support Team are here to provide practical support and advice with any day-to-day issues or concerns you may have including:

  • Advice on Disabled Students Allowance and other funding
  • Campus and accommodation visits for applicants
  • Specialist study skills (one-to-one or open access)
  • Exam support
  • Arranging support workers (note takers, mentors, tutors).

Appointments are booked through Connect2 using your university log-in details.

We are based in Health and Wellbeing, on the 2nd floor in The HUB (accessed via Jordan Well entrance) and are open Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-1pm.
